Sandstorm

Can anybody tell me where to look for the sandstorm texture? Is it possible to alter it..say replace it with snowstorm one. I can not see anything during sandstorm and it is annoying. Well, it's realistic but it's too much for me cus I have to control 16 units at the same time.

Do you mean by any chance creating a snowstorm in the middle of a desert? Would be cool! Although not sure if this can be modified, cos I guess it's one of the hard-coded files.

It doesn't matter what I create as long as I do not see this sand stuff lol. Maybe it should be something softer/transparent like the one during snowstorm which players can still play the game lol. That's what I meant.

I'm more thinking of altering the actual graphic by the way. I found this tga file in texture/men called fog.

I'm not sure if that's the right one but the dust looks familiar to me.

I seriously still need some help so reply if you know anything. I'm gonna just try to make it all black for now and see what happens.

Seems to me that the white part will change to yellow in the game. I brushed it with some black(same color as transparancy) so it appeared black in the game. Some white dots might do it. At least I know it's the right file.

It's all good now. I used photoshop to edit it and the trick is to use pencil mode instead of regular brush mode. It brushed over completely without leaving subtle grey spots. The "sands" are no longer black.

Everything is beautiful now. I can't see mile away but I still can fight.

I just found out that the same texture/file is used for the boiling oil. It's a good thing I don't erase em all.
