its commonly known that by reading the bible codes, people have discovered 'the end' in 2006.

They said it predicted 9/11, moon landing, hiroshima and the holocaust, not to mention JFK and WW2....

well, it also predicts 'the end' of the world this year...

BUT an australian scientest got the lyrics to a vanilla ice song and made the very same predictions about these things, just by hoping to find them...

i think its a load of crap but i want to see how many of you believe..

So, what do you think.

Should we start running to switzerland to escape nuclear war, or are there lots of sad people around with too much time on their hands...

I don't think any set "date" can be "predicted" for the end of the world when the concept of dates and time and calendars and years is a man-made creation. Infinity knows no time.

Rodion Romanovich

By the way what is "the end of the world"? The entire globe exploding? All materia the earth consists of being converted into energy? Or all humans dying? Or all the followers of the religion predicting it dying? Or the religion that predicts it dying but not it's followers? Or the day much of civilization ends due to some resource-or-similar crisis? Or the day we run out of beer?

Lentonius

apparantly there will be a nuclear war

but lets face it, people scaremonger every year about how were gonna die.

The Portents say when Former President Ronald Reagen Rises from the ashes to eat the brains of all of his kin will become the day humanity will be put asunder.

His work has already begun...

Only with the sacred ritual of summoning The Incredible Jesus can Humanity be saved.

That is indeed looking like a quite ominous sign!
Zombie Reagan can not be good portent.

I also hear next Total War game may bring about Apocalypse due to small issue/bug/flaw/inaccuracy.

The End is always nigh.
If we lie under table with paper bag on head each time it is predicted, we will wear out rug.

I thought it was proved that you can make codes out of any piece of literature if it is long enough and you are prepared to be fuzzy with definitions... as per the bible code.

we actually don't know what it is going to be

but since it's the end of MANY MANY MANY versions of calenders I would say 2012

and there has never been a real threat to earth from space

but from 2012 onward we have a heckload of rocks headed toward us

i had no idea that they were so inaccurate in the bible code, never thought much of it but...well hypotheticly lets say i got a letter written to me from o, lets say, satan. saying something along the lines of, "the end of days is upon the mortals, gather yourself and mount your steed o trusty horseman, the four horsemans day has come, ready yourself for the end of days" should i trash it? or do i need to send it back, all i know is that a skeletal horse keeps runnin circles round my house...uh hypotheticly.

Lentonius
01-09-2006, 20:34
No. it gives subtle clues

For 9/11 it was something like 'act of tyranny, through the sky'

For JFK it said 'great leader, assanin' in the same pattern or whatever

but yes, it is very odd how the hebrew texts predict this stuff after it happens

GiantMonkeyMan
01-09-2006, 20:38
it is a stupid thing to suggest they can tell what's gonna happen from the bible since the bible was first written in hebrew, translated to greek/latin then into modern languages so the original letters/words etc aren't even taken into account

apart from that :help: :hanged:

edit: my bad didn't see what was written above

Lentonius

the results of my 'lets take the lyrics of holiday and find historical omen thingys'

Hear the sound of the falling rain
Coming down like an Armageddon flame (Hey!)--- 9/11 in those lines already
The shame
The ones who died without a name
Hear the dogs howling out of key
To a hymn called "Faith and Misery" (Hey!)
And bleed, the company lost the war today
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives ---could be the moon landing
On holiday
Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side
Can I get another Amen? (Amen!)
There's a flag wrapped around a score of men (Hey!)
A gag, a plastic bag on a monument
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
"The representative from California has the floor"
Zieg Heil to the president gasman
Bombs away is your punishment
Pulverize the Eiffel towers
Who criticize your governmentBang bang goes the broken glass and
Kill all the fags that don't agree
Trials by fire, setting fire ----JFK assasination
Is not a way that's meant for me
Just cause, just cause, because we're outlaws yeah!
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
This is our lives on holiday

To be honest i cannot say this is completely obvious to be the moon landings, but it proves that when you are looking for words or omens of doom you can certainly find them. For me, twisting certain words that are fairly obscure, such as dream, dawning, falling, could symbolise any bullcrap if you twist it to be so....

just to prove it, take any old bit of writing and look for something in them...
i'm sure you will find it if you want to find it...

I might start searching for codes in the Lord of the Rings soon. I have this gut feeling Tolkien knows when the end of the world is coming. Wanna join me in the project?Did you know Tolkien and C.S. Lewis had a circle of academic friends to whom they read the newest chapters of their LOTR, Narnia and other fantasy stories once a month? Apparently not all were impressed. During the umpteenth LOTR installment a member of the circle who inadvertently woke up was heard to mumble 'Oh f***, not another elf!..'

I've just had a thought, maybe Vanilla Ice KNEW the world would end this year and for that reason wrote his songs like that, to implant the code.

What makes me curious is why the bible code is supposed to say something about a nuclear war while the Book of Revelation doesn´t, AFAIK. To some degree it´s like being afraid of getting killed in a car accident in my oppinion, on a personal scale it´s just the same result anyway -> you´re dead. As a christian one should always be prepared for death anyway.

Oddly enough, the man who found the same codes in Moby Dick has mentioned that, because of this revelation, there are now people who are convinced that Moby Dick was a divine work...

...so, if it turns out to be divine, then who the hell is Vanilla Ice?! ~
