Can't say I approved of his politics but at least he was sincere and did his best for his constituents. He talked some sense from time to time as well. Probably why he didn't get back into Bliars cabinet, he actually thought about what he was saying.

One of the 'better' politicos from that bunch of lying hypocrites called New Labour.

odd, how a few ex-new labour politicians are dead..

Robin cook died a couple of months ago,he opposed the iraq war i think...

He's passed away after a stroke this evening, according to Sky News. It's a shame - he managed to combine humour with conviction. His voice would have been a welcome addition to the rather staid deliberations of the House of Lords.

A shame. I agree a loss as well.
