Shogun best multiplayer game ever!

Well l have played lots of multiplayer gams on the Pc. Most of them games l played got boring after a week or so. This game though has me pined for more than 6 months and l don't think of leaving any time soon unless l die soon!
Also Shogun is the best RTS game ever. It beats them all easily and it the first game that makes you believe you are a true general.

It is funny, though - I remember how furious everyone was when it was announced that there would be no campaign MP game even for LAN or network. They said they were going to address that but I haven't heard anything about it for a long time.

*frown* Best? That's one heck of a claim.

Have you ever played Netrek (which arguably *is* an RTS -- teamwork and planning and organization are, actually, rather important...)? I'd say that's been addicting players for *years*, since it's pure gameplay with no unnecessary frivolities or requirements.

well this game has not been out as long but i spent a lil over a year on Tribes but next to that i would rate this a my fav. well the one i got more into anyway

Shogun is the best multiplayer game. Is the best RS game ever and it beats every other similar game with ease.
This is the first game that made me think while playing and not the original push the build tanks button to build more tanks and rush him.

Crimson Skies MP is pretty cool.
But STW has more pressure to it, in the MP situtation. I actually get nervous before going online!

Just a note to soly i play the demo to Crimson Skies and i have to say that game made me dizzy i Guess i should have a joystick if i was going to play a game like that...

I think FPS's are the popular games online. Unreal Tournament and Quake Arena are outstanding. CTF and Assault are a lot of fun. So are Tribes and Unreal. Different genre though of course from STW.

AoK is good online but very formulaic among veterans. Boom speed is everything.

Yah, it's interesting that the mix of decision-making and real time action melds so well. Deciding production in RT is a decidely different kind of game than one making tactical decisions.
