How to change the diplomatic stance between factions?

I have read about a console command 'diplomatic_stance' which may be used to change the diplomatic stance between factions ingame.

I tried the following commands in RomeShell (` key) but it didnt work (command not recognised etc.)

diplomatic_stance seleucid parthia neutral
or
diplomatic_stance carthage pontus neutral

It maybe that this is one of the command which don't work in RomeShell. I have tried to understand how else these console commands may work through scripting. But am not sure whether i can manage a script on my own.

Can someone be kind enough to help me out here, either by telling me how to use the above command correctly under RomeShell, or through scripting.
