The restrictive posting privileges isn't what I expected.
My other thread which needed help only got 6 peeks and I can't post in threads in the main forums.

www.totalwars.net - community forum (mostly multiplayer).
www.totalwar.org.pl - polish TW site and great forum (I think even bigger that this one)

Oh yeah it can be a little annoying being restricted. However it does weed out some of the abusive/evil members from attacking the nice member exclusive forums so there is a good reason.

Just keep posting and soon enough you'll get the full package :)

Not trying to be shitty but I have better things to do then work on an upgraded membership just to enjoy playing in game in my spare time. Searching old threads generally gives me what I need though.

The membership goes up to member fairly easily, the only thing that stops it is trolling. And if you spend time at enough forums you find plenty of trolls.

This way we keep the threads on topic with a minimal amount of flames... thus you will find it easier to find the information you require.

So the system keeps the site clean, friendly and easier to find information.

Way back when, when I first posted here I felt the same- thought it was too restrictive and was even just a tad offended. But it really doesn't take much to be promoted to member and I've come to see that the system is really a very good one, and one that I wish more forums used.
