It's been some time since the latest version release, isn't it ?
Anyway, no probs so far with me..:2thumbsup:
Not really, I just think the last one went unnoticed.
A new one is awaiting. But some things have to be done first.

Lately, using IE, I've been having to press the back button twice to go back a single page. A UGO advertisement seems to be taking up that one spot apparently, but I am unable to view it or block it.

I also use IE,
I dont suffer the same problem....
Prehaps it is spy ware of some sort.
Although I dont suffer from any popups or add's here at all either.
So it could just be me who is lucky, and its nothing to do with spy ware.
P.S
I have not Notice Any thing(s) that do not work,
But Earlier, the Board Was VERY lagy, taking Several muinets to open a page. (it cleared up after a while)
So i do not think thats anything to do with the Upgrade...
Well Other than the small possibilaty that the board was being upgraded at the time.

Here are two screencaps of the problem, hopefully they will detail it better:

Spyware, malware, and whatever else is not an issue for me. I actively use ZoneAlarm, daily scans with Ad-Aware and Spybot, and regular virus scan using ClamWin.
I've only recently (I believe yesterday) having these problems.

It seesm to be one of these Stupid Cookie Pages Adain,
Like add.doubleclick
It's probable that there is no removal option for it to be removed from the board.
As tosainu has said before. he has no say in what adds are displayed here, But he can complain.
ANY WAY.
you should be able to remove it,
And a decent Spy ware tool Would Find it,
It is listed as spyware btw,
heres a helpfull site.
But i dont know if the software is free trial safe or anything,

And i cant even Find What software there on about .
Any way In the page i posted Is a big list of Web pages that you would be better of blocking.
in the List is the one that is bothering you.

So how do you block a web page?

In IE go:
Tools | Internet Options
Then click on the Security tab.
Select the red Restricted Sites button.
Then click on the sites button.
Add the website.
For instance ht tp : // * . yieldmanager . com the * is a wild card. Adding that web site will block anything from the yieldmanager mob. You would have to get rid of the spaces, but I don't want you accidentally linking to their site.

AH ha.
Beaten 2 it....
Any way.
This is probably importaint and Iv decided i better mention it cos maby every 1 does not know.
If you Notice....
In the page link I posted, All of the web pages start with an IP adress,
This is Your IP adress.
Dont add Your Ip adress to the list.
The thing is,
The web page's or Most likley "cookies" apparantly get downloaded to your pc,
Then they are accesed from there.
So you should probably dump temp internet files, and cookies. after you block the webpages.

I have experienced this for three nights in a row now. It always happens somewhere between half-past six and eight p.m. on GMT. As a matter of fact, it happened just now, though at this moment the forum seems to run at normal speed again.
During these periods, the forum does load (Firefox does not say it cannot reach the page), but it takes minutes and often I end with a white screen while the browser says the page is loaded. I can, however, reach other pages just as quick as usual.

Well I guess that Imply's That the Board Gets backed up at around about 6-8 pm Gmt
i spose that would explain it.

This might explain it, but then why is it so erratic? Because at some points I can just browse the forum as I always do but ten minutes later I have reload a page five minutes before I get anything but a write screen or "site not responding". Also, why did it only become a problem since this upgrade?
Is there someone else who thinks the board is slow around seven and eight PM GTM?

Well i think this 1 has to be answerd By tosainu him self then.
All i can imagine is that the back up process starts in 1 forum "entrance hall"
Back it up.
Checks its ok
Pauses
mooves to next forum....
And during the pauses Is when its not slow.
Just speculative theory though.

An upgrade has several steps. Not all steps are done yet, though it mostly concerns cosmetics only. Not impossible that things are still broken, but most should work.
The board got used more than before lately. There are peakhours. The more a server is used, the less responsive it becomes. It's worked on.

Thanks for the explanation. My visits to the Org have been rather random this week, so I cannot say if the problems still is there.
