Can't sail to Viking lands ( mtw : vi )

I am playing with northumbrians, i am building lonboats but they can't move to the viking seas. How do i solve that ?

I don't think the other factions are intended to be able to reach the Viking territories, except with agents.

That is correct. You cannot reach the Viking lands, but this is not necessary to win the campaign. If you do want to throw the Vikings out, you can try sending an emissary and bribing their armies.

You can mod your ships to be able to sail open seas but that will kill the point of the game.
