Martin Luther King, did many things for human rights. I may not be african american, but he still should be recognized on his day.

I hope most people remember why we have this holiday. It's to celebrate a great man. It's not just a three day weekend...

R.I.P Martin Luther King.

:shame:

Well, for those that do, I wanted to make sure we weren't happy today for all the wrong reasons.

Sorry, you should have gotten it off if you live in the US

Martin be da man. ~:smoking:

I have an MP3 file of his famous Washington "I have a Dream" speech. I listen to it every few months and always feel the earth move when I do. He knew how to turn a phrase.

(Those who have a negative view of Doctor King are welcome to debate his merits in the Backroom. Not here. Postive thoughts only please.)

You are right, I should have, but I didn't because this week is finals week for our first semester. I get Friday off.

Odd Ghost we got today off and next Monday off, and this is our finals week. Today for MLK and next Monday is an inservice so the teachers can get the grades together and prep for next semester.

I heard part of MLK's speech in Florida the day before he was shot, much too religious for my tastes, but he certainly had the right idea and could definately turn a phrase. Rest in peace MLK you did your part, even if things still aren't as they should be.

MLK Day, we have a day off, and tomorrow's Teh Exam!

He was indeed a glorious figure. He died victorious. Rest in peace, good sir.

Yesterday the Boondocks showed The Return of the King episode, it was the greatest thing ever shown on American television yet. Gold, sir, that episode is gold. Martin Luther King in 2006.

"I have a dream..."
