I went to a small provincial museum recently - i had a spare afternoon - and lo! there was a genuine francisca axe head. I was really excited. My significant other could only say "this is what that game has done to you. When will it stop?" FYI it was smaller than i had expected, but it had that graceful curve that we have all come to know.

Awsome, another person posted how they have decided to study history after playing RTW. Who says violence can't mix with learning ?:P

I have become very interested in history after playing TW games.
I have alway liked history, but I am reading loads of history books.
I've long been an amateur history enthusiast, but I admit the TW games have still had an effect on me. If nothing else, they got me into exploring certain areas I'd never had much interest in before--particularly feudal Japan and early Medieval Europe. You've gotta give CA credit where credit is due! ~

in fact, had not been for RTW's historical inaccuracies i wouldnt have tried to learn about the real history. :laugh4:
Its the other way round for me. RTW is the first war sim in ages after Ancient art of war and Dune. I was intrigued by the prospect of being able to replicate Caesars and Alexander's feats.
