Can't mod starting money?

I always change my starting money in the desc_strat before I start a new faction because I think you arent given enough money to start. Anway, I changed it in BI and I go to start my campaign and I click the arrow to start and it goes right to the singleplayer menu (Main Campaign, Custom Battle, etc) Is this happening due to my "cheating" by modding the starting money :laugh4: or something else? :dizzy2: Thank you guys.

It means you typed in something the game does'nt like. You have to use the exact same format or this will happen.

You could just replace the desc_strat with the copy (which I hope you made before editing the games files). Then use RomeShell to add money (if that works for BI, never tried myself)
