On the website, there is a section for the EB patch. Now Im not rushing or demanding a patch, I just wanted to know if you were planning on releasing a patch to fix errors/missing graphics/etc for 1.2, or if the patch was to bring the game up to 1.5?

There should be a patch for the 1.2 version first. As to when that will be, I don't know. We're trying to track down some of these game-breaker bugs and have caught a few of them, but we don't have a clue what's causing it to crash when the AI moves an army into the location of another army. We are working on the recruitment system and resolving other issues for the patch, as well.

We also have a few members researching the later patches, and what it would take to port to one of them. It would probably require some major changes, so a port won't be happening any time soon.

In my opinion, i'd rather wait and just have one huge update/upGRADE to 1.5. EB neeeeeds 1.5.

That'd be a long(er) wait, and a lot of these bugs will still need to be fixed, no matter what version of RTW we're on.

Oh god, the army movement bug is really an army movement bug? When I submitted my file to you guys I was hoping it was something else. I get one of those in every game I play. It's bizzare.

Here's a sort of detailed look at that bug, by me (who is completely at a loss to explain what's happening, just flailing around here, hoping somebody has some idea what could cause this, or how to fix it):

Personally I'd rather have a patch for 1.2 that adds a few more skins and fixes hte bugs that they solved already rather than wait for an extended period of time for 1.5
Im not demanding anything though, take your time and do whatever you see fit

Are there currently solid plans for EB to be ported to 1.5, or is it still up in the air?

Yes, they are working on it as we speak (figuratively speaking)

I hate to say this, and i am not trying to rush you guys or anything, cos the mod is looking great.
However in my opinion a port to 1.5 should be your most pressing concern, or at least one of the most pressing concerns. The reason for this is that very few people actually use 1.2 any more, and many do not have the disk space to copy a 3 GB directory just to play a mod. With the announcement of M2TW this is becoming more pressing because more and more people will be moving to that when it is out. So many people want to play this, including me, but 1.2 has a lot of SERIOUS bugs that ruin the game. 1.5 is very near to being perfect in terms of bug fixing, and is very balanced.

I do not want EB spoilt by the load/game bug, or any of 1.2's other awful bugs.So please, i implore you, make a port to 1.5 higher on your priority list... Also some of the bugs you are encountering may be due to hardcoded limits that have been removed after all of Ca's patches. So youmight find it easier to debug as well.

The patch to fix serious CTD's is the first priority - and a lot of them are already fixed and it just means getting the patch put together and a few other things done. I agree with you about the importance of the port though. It's just that we have to get some of these fixes into a patch first to keep that first OB release enjoyable to those who do want to keep playing it for the time being.

Plus, we're going to have plenty of issues with changing to 1.5, as it is. If we don't have a relatively stable version going into that, how will we know what is a new bug caused by the port?

Siege tower bug? That can be overcome but simply removing large and epic stone walls (how accurate are those anyway? I guess if they are accurate maybe they should stay...).

The archer bug seems to be overcome by increasing the archer damage to defense ratio. Archers do become more powerful though, perhaps this could be balanced by giving them less ammo and making them cost more? I personally don't think archers were way overpowered in vanilla (just a bit of a nerf was good), I thought it was the fact they were so cheap and had so many arrows (40 arrows is unrealistic to bring to a battle...) but I know many will disagree.

I really think 1.5 is a step in the right direction provided all the features that you guys are currently using in 1.2 still work.

Take your time, you guys know EB better than we do.
