I deserved the real warning point, but the other was farcical.

Why, I guess its the same reason they let me back in here as well after being banned on multiple occasions; the mods need to perfect the skills and what better way to do it than have two knuckleheads like us that almost guarantee practice for their trade.:laugh4:
1 time a major, and one time a minor, not that bad really. I have been asked to edit my post on some occasions.

- 2 warnings with warning points attached (both deserved)
- 1 polite request to change my sig (valid request)
- More polite "why don't you calm down a bit before we open a can of whup-ass on you" PMs from various mods than I can count (all deserved)
- 1 sticky thread implemented in the Backroom about poor choice of thread title (valid comment)
- 1 extreme ass-chewing that I will never forget sent by a mod (via PM) who shall remain nameless that went with one of the above-mentioned warnings (very well deserved)

Sitting back and just reading discussions allows other people to make the very points I would have made and take the warnings for it, thus sparing me the pains both of typing up whole replies and of accumulating a possibly not-good reputation. It also helps maintain a healthy degree of anonimity, ensuring my personal safety should someone put me on their black list.

Good point in your signature Sardo. These templates are supposed to be just that extra help for new members, but it's not a good message towards people that read more than post.
I don't know whether it makes you feel better, but readers/silent types are appreciated as much as posters here.
Oh hey, I didn't really mind it, I just figured it would make for a more or less humorous signature - both pointing out my not-great participation and doing the 'strong silent types' thing because I read that in a Garfield cartoon some time in the past. I even thought it funny when I first got it, because it is kind of striking that I registered here almost two years ago, and yet have made less than 80 posts to date.
So, no hard feelings or anything. I am, however, quite happy to see that this actually caught your attention. It's a fine job you're doing here. ~:)
At any rate, it seems I'll have to change that sig, if I keep up the current trend of actually making posts.

I received a warning alert for foul language when I probably should have gotten a point for it. In truth, the #$^! I was referring to really were $#%^ (and it was some foul creatures in the world at large, not here on the org), but Ser C had been quite patient in repeatedly asking me to tone the language down. Finally, I got the 'no points' warning, and it worked, I haven't cussed so much.
I received a warning point for.... well, let's not revisit that. Let's just say, I still respectfully disagree with the warning itself. However, it apparently bought me a freebie, because I had a bit of a temper tantrum afterwards and didn't get a warning for some rather rude (though clean) things I said. Revisiting that, I recognize that regardless of what else happened, I was out of line with a tirade that I launched at Soly and for what I said, Soly, I apologize. Not my finest moment.
I've also received a hatful of PM's to the effect of "this time I really, really, really mean it".

P.S...
Side note about the flags.
Did you notice that Great britain 1st fromed by joining Wales and england together.
and they combined the flags to make the 1st union jack.
It looked like the scotish one with a blue background, And a white cross with a red one inside.
then when 1/2 of ierland joined, they added diagonal running white and red cross. Like the old scotish flag had.
And that is the current union Jack.
Wales has no part in the creation of the union jack, And as such probably shouldnt be conciderd a part of great Britain.
Just a nice little side note there.
Dosent deserve a topic.

I like to imagine the Union Jack with the Welsh Dragon in the middle of it. I don't know whose mistake it was, but someone missed creating one heck of a cool British flag. Meanwhile, I think Wales deserves greater independence and lower taxation in return for its underrepresentation on the flag of the United Kingdom!!

Actually the term Union Jack may not neccessarily refer to a jack on a ship. That and it has been used in that form for about 300 years.
Also when you think of it UK wealth was navy based so why not use a jack instead of a flag and it was referred to as the unsinkable aircraft carrier in WWII
