Is it possible to move sapping point during the deployment phase of the siege? Today I finally listened to the advisor, and to quote him:
"To deploy a sapping point left click to select it and then drag it onto the desired section of the wall."
I did that, but nothing happens. I'm unable to select the sapping point. Any ideas?

OMG, Do you mean that we are able to relocate sapping points!?

well, according to advisor - yes. But I doubt it. Maybe the CA meant to implement it, and then changed their minds. Unfortunately, they forgot to alter the advisor...

IF I could alter them, I might use them! When they are deployed a distance from each other, or even under the maw of the main entrance it seems somewhat suicidal.

Prior to 1.5 patch, i often built them, but used them only if they were deployed in acceptable position. Due to a siege tower bug, I use them more often now, unless I want to watch my soldiers dance around tower entrance.
Fortunately, it happens only at large stone walls!

although i dont' think you can change the entrance point, you can slightly alter the direction in which they dig. after the unit is in, i think you can right-click them towards a specific section of the wall.

This bug is seriously annoying, its a good job it only occurs when you build siege towers when attacking Large Stone Walls.
Another irritating feature with sieges is the 'randomness' of saps. Sometimes they are available to build as siege equipment, other times they are greyed-out and not possible (this is against all 3 types of stone walls btw). I've noticed that they may become available to construct if you wait a turn or so (IE maintain siege).
However, if you combine this sap problem and the siege tower bug when facing large stone walls, you are seriously running out of options. In this case, you either have to hope that there are some exisiting holes in the settlement walls (which the AI never repairs) from previous saps, or use onagers to punch a hole through. If your're playing a vanilla version as a Barbarian faction, you won't have onagers and will therefore have to wait until the AI sallies or not.

I agree, it's very annoying. When it happens, just save the game and reload. The option to build sapping point will be available.
I HATE it when my units can seem to get into a tower. What I now do is click in the wall on the left of the tower and a few seconds later on the right site, you'll se that more men will enter.
What REALLY is a pain it the fact that if some guys are still outside the tower you wont be able to use the unit once you are in the city, they will just stand there like a bunch of useless pr*cks, not in formation... grrrrrr
This is defintely something that needs to be fixed. Its a ridiculously bad bug. I restart when I see the AI or myself struggling to get into the tower.
restarting works? I thought it was a large wall bug....
so whenever there are large walls it happens...

Just build lots of them and surely one of them will be deployed in a favourable position.
I usually build 4. Takes 1 turn if I have a full stack.
It's strange but I've never had the siege tower bug that people describe... A few times my men have been reluctant to go up the tower but after ordering them up a few times they finally do it.
I've used a lot of siege towers in my campaign too... I'm playing as the Sassanids and there's a lot of large/epic walls involved... Antioch, Jerusalem, Constantinople, etc.
