I already own it apparently. ~D
I bought a membership to totalgaming.net awhile ago and the membership (at the time) included every game in their library plus GalCiv2 which was very early in development at that time- it was a heck of a deal. I really enjoyed the first GalCiv/altarian prophect, and the 2nd one sounds that much better.
I have access to the Betas for it, but I never got around to checking them out yet.
Yep! In fact, I went so far as to pre-order the game (although not soon enough to get into the beta), which is something I've *never* done before. The only problem is that I now realize my computer won't be able to run it. (Stupid, stupid me!!) :wall: Ah well, guess I'll just have to wait for another couple months until I can upgrade....
It does look very good. The only thing lacking from my point of view will be a hands-on tactical level. It will be cool to watch engagements, but I wish you could give orders to your units. So the game is a 'probable' not a 'definite' for me...

I agree that all things being equal, I wouldn't mind the option to fight battles myself; but it's not a deal-breaker for me. In fact, I almost prefer it this way. I don't fight that many battles in Total War games, but I've always wanted to watch them without having to personally command my armies. That way I get the eye candy but without the headache of personally directing my troops. :2thumbsup:

It looks wonderful, and I anticipate it being a future purchase. I love that you can create your own ships.
Roll on a Star Wars mod!

Aye. Especially after you've fought several battles in a row. :sweatdrop:
