Well, read the entire article. Its an optical illusion, or atleast that's what they say. Conspiracy maybe?

The BBC had a better picture...

The larger one was simply somewhat higher, which can be seen on one of the the pictures...

I say this on the news, all on the perspective supposedly.

It could be a conspiracy but it depends how you look at it.

Or a teleobjective ~;)

Or a teleobjective ~;)No way man.

Earlier today I saw snippets of a report by 49 academics and former Blair administration officials. As far as I know none of them are notorious conspiracy buffs. None has a record of making outlandish political claims. Yet there they were, accusing the British government of 'lying about the 1/30 near miss'. http://www.my-smileys.de/smileys2/eek.gif

I tell you, this is all part of a big conspiracy. And we should demand to be told the thruth.

Hey, quiet you, or your phone calls will be the next ones the NSA are tapping. We don't need any troublemakers like yourself turning over any rocks.... What plane, what near miss, what conspiracy? Are you trying to help the enemies of civilization destroy it?

I think the governments are actively making conspiracy theories, so that if someone actually discovers an actual conspiracy, everyone will just think he's nuts. :inquisitive:

They really need to do something about all those airplanes in that country, because airplanes cause airplane crashes

Find out the wing span and length of the planes.

Figure out the ratio between the two.

Then measure the wing span and length of the planes in the photo... from that you will be able to figure out the relative distance from each other.

You sure that it doesn't get distorted by a teleobjective?
I'm thinking about when you see the athletics on TV, they always looks very close to eachother, even if the distance is 20 meters or more. The teleobjective severly distorts the perspective of distance.

Probably will be a distortion of some form... but I still think the exercise would be worth doing.

it is true.
Those are actual photorgaphs, and not TV footage...
And as such can indeed be examined in the way mentioned above.

This is all part of my master plan to confuse the .org for which I have enlisted the help of 50 academics, two airline pilots and one Devastating Dave. Mwuhaha...

A classic example of well-directed government funds.

I congratulate you.
