As a guy who plays roleplaying games, it is quite amusing actually, because there are types out there, maybe not that bad but pretty close anyways.

K here comes the die roll

that that is a....
No it can't be
It's a chilled water blast with 72 damage, unfortanately this amplifies the damage of kaisers electrical damage by 5.
Now I am facing and electrical dmage with 30-225 damage.
Now for the next person I only have 220 hp's so what is the damage I take.
I think my days are very short. :skull:

I'm half way through watching that and all I can say is, damn, I'm happy I gave up D and D when I was 13.
You sick monkeys who posted this, thanks for the laughs.

Taffy, I didn't even start playing D&D until I was 18. Of course, the game wasn't published until I was 15 or 16. Now at the age of 46, married with two kids, I still play and my kids (18 and 13) have just started play the game too. I guess my point is, you are never too old for D&D. Come on Taffy, embrace the dice - you know you want to! :laugh4:

Gentlemen,
Cut it out!
*I'm not closing a good thread just because some people are going wankers with the spoiler tags.
Multiple Warning Points have gone out and the next person who uses the spoiler tags simply for the sake of spamming or hiding an insult gets 2 points on the spot.

This is my grand plan to teach my kids rugby, swimming, mathematics, politness and RPGs... roleplaying games not rocket propelled grenades.

A helpful hint to those who haven't Beirut's Axe of Cleaving +3; just quote the person who's using a bunch of spam spoiler tags and you can see what they're hiding.
And I hope there are no such people in the real world, hiding out of sight of the sun, cursing the fairer sex, slowly retreating into darkness...

You havn't visited too many gaming stores lately I take it then.
It really can be quite sad. One thing about Games Workshop that I will give them credit for is trying very hard to clean up that image of grungy dark hovels.
I'm afraid though that many gamers are social introverts except around their own kind. High IQ low EQ and very shy.
Playing games is THE social highlight for a few of them. For others it is just an alternative form of entertainment from nightclubbing, playing sports and partying with friends.
Most of them are really really intelligent nice guys.

Most of them are really really intelligent nice guys.I guess one would call that...an alternative lifestyle, but the one which is rather disdained by the mainstream society (and girls, as in the tape ~;) ). The key is not playing games, though, but an obsession with a hobby, whatever it is. Another popular image of this kind of "lifestyle" is the anime fandom. They were actually rather reviled by the Japanese mainstream public until recently, when the attitude begins to lax.
I am also of the opinion that EQ can be developed -- IQ, well, I don't have enough understanding of all the mechanics...
After all, really shy people can and do change, by experience. I was and am, by popular definition, introverted and intelligent, shy and silent. But that doesn't mean I necessary will be like this five years later, or that I was like this five years before. What those introverted, isolated individuals lack is an opportunity for diverse socializing and different tastes in life.
However, who are we to judge if they're happy or not? These people might be the happiest ones around, if they make it so. :book:
