New favourite faction. No one ever talks about it either.

You get a huge army at the start, and I was able to expand in 3 directions at once. Wipe out carthage, and take all of Iberia extremley early on.

The only thing that annoys me, is that like Sparta you cant recruit anything but skirmishes in the home province, and of course, some provinces that cant recruit anything at all. Is there a text file I could easily edit guys? Or is it more complex than that?

Unfortunately it's a bit harder than simply "editing" a .txt file. (but in essence that's exactly what you'd have to do)

There are however plenty of tutorials throughout different forums, to teach you how to do this.

The tutorial you'd need to find is one that teaches you how to edit the 'export_descr_buildings.txt'. This is the file that RTW uses for building rules/effects (and thus recruitment through the barracks/MIC buildings)

You'd also have to get familiar with 'export_descr_units.txt' as this lists all of the available troops for possible recruitment.

However if you are not sure what you are doing, i'd not even attempt it. If you do, make sure you make backups of the original EB files.

Or you could shout and scream on the boards for a fixed export_descr_buildings.txt file, to get released before the next big patch...

Iberia's starting armies will quickly plummet you into debt. You MUST expand in three directions. Be careful how you use your Iberian Scutarii; it's gonna be a while until you can tech up to replace them.

What I liked most was once you boot Carthage off, you're basically free to play how you want: turtle and tech up, or keep expanding.

Will lusitanians,and possibly other unique "tribal" units like them, be available in the next release ? I was hoping to play the Iberians, but their current unit roster seems too bland and generic compared to what I think should be the final one (IIRC these units were referenced in the preview).
