Hello,
As quotes are frequently used here and since there have been some frustrations about it in the past: https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=60698
Working code is ready, just have to activate it here. As there are pro and cons, I like to hear your opinion first.

It doesn't really bother me one way or another. I like the quote option personally, but change is not a bad thing if there is a concensus with other members. Maybe we should poll this. Thanks for keeping us up to date Tosa!!!:2thumbsup:

I don't know, TosaInu. For me it is a matter of professional courtesy to reduce other peoples emails to their essentials when answering, so exchanges are not cluttered with huge wads of text that become unwieldy and confusing to all. I do the same with posts on the .org. So I don't need it. And those who do need it -- because they always copy other posts whole out of laziness or indifference -- will probably be too lazy or indifferent to apply . So..
.. wat is wijsheid, Admin? :juggle2: ~:)

I like the idea, as I have to say that when threads become 2 or more people arguing minutae of each other's posts (including spelling and grammer in many cases) I just loose interest; on a side issue such arguments I feel warrant either a seprate post or more likely something that they can do in private. :furious3:
Back to the point: collapsing these wads would at least reduce the massive amounts of space that can dissappear into these arguments. As such I'm all for it; the "please take the martinet / pedant concersations on to IM" is a side issue...

Sweet.
A multiple quoting option is a good thing. Footnoting, spoiler, "ex"ing etc. are all good things. The old manuel quoting system where quoting quotes is possible also a good thing.
