While i find the battles very similar to vanilla, i got myself on bankrupt on the first turns.

Of course i lost, both times i played... i tried casse and one more i can`t remeber their name.

Anyways... what is the secret? how i can earn money if i start with 1 single city and a small army and loosing money! :help:

Also i find the voices were off, for some reason my army didn´t talk... the warcry didn´t work either... and the orders had the same luck... they are off for some reason?

Thanks

i´m playing VH/M btw

Well to make money you have to do a few very important things very quickly. First, if you have any ships, you must disband them. Their upkeep extremely high. Second, you must deicde whether to take a couple settlements quickly with your starting troops, then disband the excess. Or, disband almost of of your troops right away and build up your starting city/cities. If you are Casse, it is probably best to stay at peace with the rebels around you so you can trade with them. Whatever the case, you have to either use troops or disband them, and you also have to foucs on economic buildings in your settlements. Hope this helps, good luck!

well i give a 2nd shot and i find myslef on bankrupt again... i quit before loosing the campaign coz i was going down and down...

i have 1 ship but i didn`t have a port to disband it.

i took 2 settles, but it wasn`t enough...

The thing that bothers me of this mod, is the slow performance.. it seems too heavy... compared to vanilla or other mods.

The speed can be improved by increasing the priority of the application in Windows (There's a thread somewhere about it) but it will improve with subsequent releases as the code is not fully optimised yet (developers call it debug code). EB are doing far more behind the scenes than Vanilla with codes such as the traits etc, at the moment be patient.

With the Casse (if you are still playing as them) Camilodunum (sp?) has a port so disband your fleet as soon as you have dropped your diplomat off on the European Mainland. Disband virtually all of your troops save for a garrison and camp your remaining family members somewhere (move them occassionally so they don't get bored). Send your diplomat to the gauls (both tribes) and the Sweboz initially and get some trade agreements and then send him to do the same with the Romani, etc etc.

then wait......and wait a bit more.....

Within five to ten turns of doing next to nothing your economy should turn round once it start to do so you should be able to build up an ample force to go SW to Devon and take that nice settlement there.

If you playing as a faction without a port I found the best way to get rid of my navy was to go and find that fleet of Pirates in the Agaen\black Sea are...give it three turns and you don't have a fleet to worry about any more

You are right about the wait and wait...

One thing that is starting to bother me actually. I spent like 5 turns clicking the end turn without doing nothing else (i couldn´t do anything else, no money, no recruitment, no army to move, nothing... )

What this wait actually does is allow the A.I. to build up and expand making for greater challenge later on. Hoepfully with 1.5 this won't be needed as the battle A.I. is incredibly improved (A lot of people dont notice it because of poor A.I. stats and morale; with well balanced stats i think the A.I. in Bi could be a real badass)

Ah but whilst waiting get busy with your diplomat. I never bothered much with the diplomat in vanilla but boy do you need it in this
