My knowledge of Post-Roman Britain up to Alfred the Great is very rusty, as in almost non-existant despite me knowing a great deal of the period from 410-516. My question is this -

Were the Legions still active in Britain after the post-410 period? Like were there still legions in Britain named "II Augusta", "IX Hispana", etc.? Or were they all withdrawn from the island in 410 on the orders of Emperor Honorius? ~:)

Withdrawn after 410, there was no actual 'legions', although some of the petty kingdoms' warriors may have used legionary equipment, they didnt use the same tactics or discipline as the earlier Roman Legionaries practised
