Hey, I just 'discovered' (IE. got addicted to) the arcade.
Well anyway I'm getting 150+ quite alot (my best, 191, put me second). But I could be getting loadsa results on the second page, as could many others, but we're only allowed 1 result per game. Which is kinda annoying since if I was a totally flukey 'one round wonder' and pretty accidently got top of a leaderboard then I'd look like I was the best, however the people who constantly are achieving good scores only look 'ok'.
So perhaps we could have five results each per game or something? If thats possible.
Oh and Quietus, if it's the last thing I do I'm so gunna beat your score :viking:

Only results in the top ten count towards your score. Allowing people to have 5 scores in the top ten could mess things up...there are some people who would have the top five spots for each game.
I just checked after not playing there for a couple months. There's still no one within a 100 points of my score. Kind of embarrassing lol

Sounds soothing. But it better be a big cushion and a big jar o' cream because I've got 364,810 'roids to deal with!

I've been wondering this myself. It would take me several days to top his score, then he would get it back within a day, so he has skills. But his current score can't be real, just as my score in Hexxagon isn't real (I've asked for this to be removed, it's due to a bug in the arcade scoring system).

With practice. A whole lot of practice. Starting at level 10 helps a lot though, as you don't have to crunch through the boring lower levels. By the time you are up to level 30+, even single lines bring in 000s. :balloon2:
And yes, the score is accurate.

I was wondering about that. I tried starting at higher levels, but couldn't really tell if it affected my score that much (never started at 10 though). The old, old Tetris (8088 version) used to take this into account, and would not increase the level number until you reached the levelx10 number of lines. So you could rack up lots of points if you were comfortable at a high level (I think I used to start at 6-7 back then). This one jumps a level every ten lines, regardless of your starting level. I'm sure there is a sweet spot there somewhere. The only way I managed the score I got was to start at level 4 and build towers until I could get 4 lines at a time. Props, apparently, are due. :bow:

Hey guys, in commenting Therother's psycho score on Tetris, Congrats! I've found myself basically conquering a lot of the arcade, and would like some competition. I'm not good at Tetris or Asteroids, and I'm working on the Bowling score at the moment... Plus, I've got 12 first place scores... :smile:

Hi I think the arcade messes up if you have over one window open. I got 800 for one game (forgot what) and it somehow thought that I got it for typing test, and I got an impossible 800 for typing test. So if an admin has any spare time to delete that score, (and the Donkey Kong one) then I'd appreciate it. I don't want to be seen as unfair.

Apple Hunt is broken
DNA golf is broken
Snowboard challeng is broken
Word race is broken
Defend your stronghold seems to be broken, though two people have high scores :inquisitive:
I'd swear basketball rally is broken but it seems I'm the only one who has problems with that :help:
