To pass away the time in my ICT lessons at school, i put Age of Empires on my MP3 player and loaderised it onto the PC. It works fine, but you need the CD to play single player, and the school PC's have no CD drive. So, i'm asking you this - does anyone know where to get a crack for AoE 1.0c? If you own the original game (which i do. I payed £20 for it back in '99!) then it's perfectly legal, and you'll be taking the boredom out of my ICT lessons.
If a mod/admin disagrees with this for ethical reasons (dislike talk of nocd cracks, don't wish to disrupt my education) then feel free to close it.

Do your homework!
Legal option: Get a very cheap portable CD drive. Even better and more useful would be one that burns... they come in about $90 Aus... so not super cheap... but a lot cheaper then other options and with the ability to burn your homework to disk and take it home as well as play DVDs at school.

I don't need any help with getting a crack now, a member of the .Org who shall remain anonymous came to the rescue, and i am most grateful to them.
I have another request now: has anyone else ever done what i've done, and install a computer game like AoE on a school PC?
Tomorrow i plan to put AoE on the school server, so it's accessible to everyone. It will be entertaining to see how long it takes for word to spread.

I realised this while relaxing in bed last night. I now have formulated a new idea, to charge my friends 50p for me to transfer it to their account, so we can play multiplayer during lessons.
Heheh, the great thing is, most of them have it already and are being charged for something they already own.

There is a way around the CD thinghy. Perfectly legal. You can play the tutorial without a CD. Then, if you want to play a campaign, just beat the lsat mission in the tutorial (cheating is the obvious option) and voila, all the other campaigns are available. :2thumbsup: enjoy

Your breaking so many copyright rules All i can say is.
GAH!
Your using Cd cracks for Illigal reasons. (Big no no)
And now your distributing an Illigal copy of a game at a profit! (EVEN BIGER NO NO)
Id encorage you to rethink your actions before we see a headline in the back room..
"org parton arested in school by the FBI for illigal profit's accumilated from Illigal AOE copy"
What you are planing to do Is in breich of Every copiright rule I can think of.
Illigal distribution without consent,
Illigal profits Without resellers consent.
Illigal/incorrect acces of Networks Used for profit venture from an illigal operation.
You should Think long and hard about the pros and cons of this venture.
I think you will find the Pro's Dont come Near to outwighing the con's.
And the fact that you publickly anounce your plans here are making it easyer for people to Prossicute you for Illigal activities If/ when they so chose to.
No cd cracks Arent illigal.
But incorect use of them Is illigal.
(your proposed usage of the no cd crack Is ILLIGAL)
Even the legal use of Cracks are some what of a gray area in the law. and as such the rules state we are not allowed to discuss no cd cracks At all.
I'm sorry you lost your R:TW CD's. In the Forum rules, we have specific prohibitions against content about no-cd hacks, registry keys and the like:
..Posts containing addresses of warez sites or anything piracy-related; note that this includes "hacks" designed to enable Shogun: Total War or Medieval: Total War to run without a CD.
Distributing Copys of your game for Free IS illigal. And there fore Should not be discussed.
Distributing Copys of your game for a Profit Using a no cd crack. Is so Illigal Im amazed this theread is still open.
This whole Theread Is nothing but And Illigal discusion about the Best way to distribute an illigal copy of a game over a network for profit.
Im Frowning lots here.
And I am Really suprized That tosainu has allowed this conversation to progress past the 1st post.

Yeah man, I understand that school can get boring, and I sometimes use web based proxies to bypass my school filter (it even blocks a great homework site under "societies and lifestyles") but what you are doing here is highly illegal...
