Anybody know how to increase the resolution in 3DS MAX, so that the textures look more shaper and clearer? I want it to look like how it looks when you render the model.

umm, you mean render your model, or make the texture quality better in the normal viewports?

when you install it i think it asks whether you choose direct 3d or something like that. in that case i would say it does not use the graphics well for a texture

Go to Customize->Preferences->Viewports->Configure Driver->Texture size.
