Just a thought; playing Casse your NOT at war with the Rebels and can therefore trade with them. Many players bitches about having finacial problems with EB that is, not beeing use to your new system. So if every faction were at peace with the Rebels from the start trade and economy would be better AND the player could choose WHEN to declare war on them.
Any justification WHY we should be at war with the Eleutheroi from the start devs?
It is possibly from the surrounding independents.
Since the Casse were at peace with their surrounding tribes, they are not at war with the Rebels, but the Aedui or the Arverni (sorry for using those as examples, I didn't play much with other factions) are expanionist powers and are likely at war with their neigbours in an effort to expand their territory. The same would go for Pontus, which was trying to expand and was likely feared by, say, Sinope, which would be best reflected in a state of war.
Keep in mind that all of this is merely guesswork ... the EB team probably have their resons. I have merely stated the most logical.
Can you actually have peace with them ??
Didn't know the game allowed it.
Besides look at it this way:idea2: , the rebels take the longest to finish it's turn so the more provinces you take from them then the faster the turn will go:2thumbsup:
