Sound silly. Not if you don't own a PC Computer.

I have worked in the design Industry for years but using Apple Mac which are crap for games.

I am an old git and know zippo about PC's, graphics cards etc etc.

I have played the game alot on a mates computer and now after years I want to own one myself.

I only want to use it for games, I have a bit of cash so it doesn't have to be a budget box.

So what do I buy? Will the old MTW VI work on the latest release hardware, what should I avoid?

Thanks in Advance You lot must have some Ideas.

Cheers

A lot of people have problems with Nvidia cards for MTW.
I bought a new Nvidia card and couldn't get MTW to run at all.
The old Nvidia drivers that worked for MTW wouldn't work with my new card.

I would suggest getting an ATI video card.
I'm using Windows XP and other than the Nvidia drivers, I haven't had any problems.

The nVidia issue is the only one I know about. Apparently, there is a work around, Northnovas came up with it. Has this been verified to fix the problem?

Well, hopefully it works. I currently only have systems with ATI cards, so I can't verify this. My next box will probably have an nVidia, I'm hoping that this is a feasible work-around so I don't have to keep an old machine around just to play Medieval.
