I have EB, RTR, ITW, RTW, BI and DarthMod all on this machine and this is how to do it.
Easy 1.2 installation.
1. Clear old installation of game from your computer.
2. Install clean version and 1.2 unzipped.
3. Check the game works. It doesn’t matter what version it is at this point.
4. Quit and go to My Computer – Local Disc – Programme Files – Activision - Rome Total War.
5. Double left click Rome Total War exposing Zip File.
6. Double left click Zip File exposing Data, Docs and Icon.
7. Right click and copy Data.
8. Click back to Rome Total War and paste. A notice should appear explaining that files will be overwritten if OK given. Say Yes.
9. Click forward to Zip File and copy Docs.
10. Go back to Rome Total War and paste once more. Notification may or may not happen.
11. Click forward to Zip File and copy Icon.
12. Go back to Rome Total War and paste.
13. Check that the game works.
14. Install Europa Barbarorum if that is all that you want.
15. Important. Should you wish to have more on your machine before installing EB make copies of what you checked, that is the Rome Total War Folder, as many times as you like.
16. These copies will each have a number so make sure it is to the correct number that you install anything else.
17. To do that, go into the copy’s folder to where the Icon is, right click it and press make shortcut.
18. Rename the shortcut only with the desired game name.
19. Minimise the page and drag shortcut into the desktop and that’s it.
20. Leave at least one version as your Master Copy for future installations.
