It's an old myth that cheese before bedtime gives you nightmares, but just how much of a myth is it? The other night, i ate cheese before bedtime and had what is the most terrifying nightmare i've ever had. My new shiny widescreen monitor was doing the same things as my broken monitor did, completely spazzing out until it was just a thin line across the screen. I really did feel fear and horror, just thinking that it couldn't be happening again. Although i don't think it could be cheese induced, because it seems to be a bit of a recurring dream. Maybe the cheese just made it worse? Who knows...
So, do you believe you've had cheese induced nightmares?

The most terrifying nightmare you have ever had... is a faulty monitor? :inquisitive:
And no, I have never had a cheese-induced nightmare. Then again, I have never had the rge to eat cheese before bed... and now I probably won't.

I don't know about cheese, but I was always told that eating rotten meat gave you nightmares.

Your stomach definately wouldn't thank you for it either.
As for cheese, It is probably just a myth. Only one way to find out though, now where did I put the cheese?

Are you kidding? Cheese is one of my favorite snacks, and no nightmares for me.
What kind of cheese was consumed before the incident? And in what quantities?

A friend once told me that cheese can get you high. He heard it on the radio.
I have not tried this, nor I am likely too, but I think you put some it in a plastic bag and breath it in.

That is bit odd.
My worst nightmare was televised.

I have cheese before bedtime all the time, and no nightmares. Lack of water can cause nightmares though, and it's possible cheese could dehydrate you.

I don't know what you've been told but I know for certain that the worst dreams come when you are sleeping on the job, even if you are on break.
Also I've never had a cheese induced nightmare.
Maybe we should conduct some kind of experiment or something. Just an idea.

Rules for cheese and bedtime.
Rule #1: Never eat cheese (prov)alone.
Rule #2: If you do eat cheese, head to the bathroom and take a Cheese Whiz before going to bed.
And with that lame humour, I'd cheddar get out of here... :vanish:

Okay, I'll eat a bit of cheese right before bed tonight.
To support my sleep at work theory I'll use the fact that I had a pretty messed up dream, and or a period of near-awakeness where I kept imagining someone was coming and that I was going to get in trouble, every single time I slept at work.
Note: I did not have work to do, I did not do it that much.
And with that lame humour, I'd cheddar get out of here... :vanish:
Oh Lord, do you realize what you have done?
It's not a gouda thing.

Well I have nothing to report, no Meunsters or anything, just one slightly odd dream.
I hope I spelled that right....
Danish cheese should give you nightmares, that is how I imagine the undead would smell.

I regularly eat cheese before sleeping. No problems so far.
For some time ago, I ate bread-and-butter almost every night before i went to bed. Despite that, I never had nightmares.
The cheese was melted, though.
And with that lame humour, I'd cheddar get out of here... :vanish:
After jokes that bad, you certainly better brie getting outta here!

That is actually quite a good idea. Tell Mythbusters, see if they try it out.
