Copperhaired Berserker!

Why did you choose your nickname?

I called myself Copperhaired Berserker! because of this: I have red hair, and copper is a red metal, so that's the copper bit sussed out. haired just means that my I'm red-haired. (Of course, you'd know that.) Berserker! is because I like controling berserkers in RTW and killing hordes of infantry. Another reason is because if someone annoys, a kick in the happy sack follows.

OH, and TK-421, I know why you called that name. It's one of the stormtrooper's name in Star Wars.

Ummm.... Started using the current one in the chat area, cause i'm irish and mike is a shortening of my real name.

I all started last year. I watched an episode of the new Doctor Who(Aliens of London) and I was hooked. So I added the words "Time Lord" under my username. Then M2TW was announced and my old username was out of date.

So it was time for a change, something like Lord Howard, or Duke of Merseyside, or King Martyn the Great were too obvious.

Then I thought "The Doctor". Then I discovered somebody had taken the name and only posted twice. Thus the underscore had to be added.

I started a thread asking to change my username and it started a wave of name changing.

02-27-2006, 11:20
My last name translates to Beans, I used to call myself Mr Bean on usenet when I first got an internet connection (about ten years ago), it wasn't the most original name and I needed something that stood out a bit more, so I opted for 'doc' instead of 'mr'. It also showed my youthful enthusiasm for science I guess. I considered doing a doctorate last year just so I could live up to my name, but decided that might not be the best reason to make such an important decision

Templar Knight
02-27-2006, 14:31
Knight Templar was taken so I picked Templar Knight, why? Because they are my favorite bunch of medieval guys.

Rodion Romanovich
02-27-2006, 18:07
I chose mine because it was RTW time when I registered. First I thought about taking the name of someone from the period but then realized most were taken, so I decided to choose a legion. Valeria Victrix and UlpiaVictrix and Adiutrix were interesting alternatives, but Valeria Victrix was taken and a bonus in UlpiaVictrix is that it was number 30, which becomes XXX, which nowadays means something we all love very much

Duke Malcolm
02-27-2006, 19:01
After contemplating a variety of options, I decided to precede my name with "King". I had pondered over "King Malcolm V", since there have already been four King Malcolms previously, but I decided against it, and the King of Scots at the start of MTW is King Malcolm III Canmore.

Later, I decided I would rather not be a King, but a high noble, such as a Duke or Marquess.

When I was 9 (5 years ago) I had a dream about a kid inside of a training facility. His trainer called him "Zain" so I borrowed that name for almost everything I needed. And "Dustin" Is my true name in real life. Anyone have any ideas on how to reword this so it looks better?

Antagonist
03-04-2006, 16:22
I always enjoyed thinking up handles too much to stick to one, so I basically go by a different name almost everywhere (on the Internet) I was initially going to call myself "Protagonist" but for some reason I decided at the last minute to choose the opposite name. I'm pretty happy with it, all things considered.

The problem arises from the fact that I am by temperment a fairly easy-going and well-meaning fellow, largely content to live and let live and therefore not very antagonistic. But I'm working on it.

When signing up here, I had the Family Guy going in the background and Stewie was testing a voice disguiser and said something like 'Eviscerate the proletariat!' It made me laugh a little bit so I put that in, not ever considering that I might one day wind up in the backroom arguing about politics. :/
