This has probably been noted before, but I was unable to locate the thread using the search engine.
It is possible to supersize your units in Vanilla through re-training.
Steps:
1. Move damaged units into city.
2. Initiate re-train command for damaged units.
3. Hit "M" to merge units.
4. Units will merge, but previous additions to soldier totals will be added to the units anyway, leaving you with surplus men in several units.
Personal record is a 120-member Roman Archer Auxilia (base 81).
Have others noted this (expect so)?
