This is the first campaign I've played in EB, and the one that lasts the longest. (I've been playing it since the day the beta is released ^^) Since the patch came out I decided to halt the campaign and post my results here.

Even though it's on M/M, I can say I'm friggin' proud of it. ^^

The army in the image shown is my strongest army. It has been following me around all the way from the eastern side of the Seleucid empire, then went south to Egypt, shipped over to Africa, then shipped back to Asia Minor, and razed through Greece. Surprising that they won't get tired though.

Another surprising fact is that in this campaign, Getia managed to expand into a decently large empire. Together with the Sarmatians they had the Germans surrounded, and with the aid of the Greeks they squeezed out the Macedonians, leaving them with only 1 province left by the time I conquered my way to Greece. The sole province the Macedonians have is on the little island just west of Pergamon (I forgot the name) Meanwhile, the Greeks took over almost the whole of Greece, except the starting Epirote cities, to themselves.

Dang, nicely done SirPoot. I chose to expand a certain amount then just hang out in my Casse campaign, currently year 135. I was even contemplating just continuing that instead of a new one with the patch... Which I still might until a graphic update comes along with some new units or somesuch. Is that madness?

There are a few random crashes here and there, but all of them are simply avoided by turning off the background script, ending a turn without it, and turning it on the next turn. =)

Eh it's nothing special... Full stacks of gold chevroned horse archers... A baby could win a battle with those, especially against western factions who have no units to counter 20 units of gold chevroned horse archers. I remember when i used to try and play MP when the game first came out... I used to just leave if people used armies like that. Which they did 100% of the time. :shame:

I fought countless battles against armies like that, and won most of them.

I simply lured them into a forest and ambushed them, and boy was I hated for it.

Unfortunately from tomorrow onwards I won't be touching my computer for any significant amount of time for the next 2 years, and it seems that again, I cannot complete my dream of conquering the entire enormous EB map. T_T Anyway, it was totally fun as usual.

I besieged 6 Roman cities in a single turn with 6 full-stack armies. Meanwhile the Romans still have the luxury of going after a previously-roman city that revolted against them. =\

I'm lovin how you took out Rome, Sir Poot. I did the exact same thing, hit them with everything I had at, at the same time. Took me 4 turns to wipe the Romans off the map.

Yep. Rome is the only faction in which I can plan my attacks and such. Other factions always invade me first and I have to react to it.

Oh I'm playing M/M. Other difficulties are too hard for me to expand fast...

I hate this egyptian unit. My only recruitable unit that can hold its own in a frontal assault is the pezhetaroi. And that, I'll always need some unit to flank it, else my pezhetaroi will be eventually slaughtered by those guys. And even if flanked, those guys will still take a long time to break. A real pain in the butt :wall:

By numbers alone, that rebel army is the scariest. More so when they clamped themselves together into one big chunk.

Looks like a minor bug; the flag/symbol belongs to Yuezhi, but the message mentions the Sauromatae. It does that with family members, too, Yuezhi family members are called Sauromatae family members.

Wow! I didn't know EB had made it's own "Faction Destroyed" images! So much better quality than the vanilla ones.

Yeah, we had some culture/faction swapping issues; this one apparently lingered because we hardly ever see the faction destroyed images.

The 1.5 swap should fix that, as well as the rest of the lingering culture swap issues.
