I Like the idea of your faction following one name and creating your own little dynasty, but It is hard to do this, actually it is impossible, unless you are the romans{BI}.
what Im asking is, does anyone one know if the name generators are hard coded or is there a place where I can edit them. If anyone knows just copy and paste the place that allows me to edit it and I can figure out what to do from there.

Hope this will be good for you :2thumbsup:

Dunno why but after 1.6 I'm having problems with adding custom names and surnames to various factions in BI

'descr_names.txt' and 'names.txt' are very sensitive to syntax (spaces, tabs, etc...). For myself, I 'copy and paste' an existing name and I replace with my creations. I am making a mod for 1.6 for +260 (Gallienus and the 'Gallic Empire), for example, I have :
surnames
Licinius_Egnatius_Gallienus
in 'descr_names.txt.
and :
{Licinius_Egnatius_Gallienus} Licinius Egnatius Gallienus
in 'names.txt'.
In my 'descr_strat.txt', 'character Publius Licinius_Egnatius_Gallienus'.
And all is ok during my tests.

aleajactaest, while you're at it, if you have spare time could you add names for RTW vanilla? I find that the names are quite boring and unvaried for the Roman factions.. around 40 years in and I already have 3 'Gaius Scipio's in my dynasty.
