I'm aware of the hotness scale, regarding peppers, I am more interested in when you use hot peppers and in what context.
I put fresh green chillis in my salad, it drives the wife nuts when she finds one.
I like a 'spanish' omlette for dinner but with hot peppers rather than sweet ones.
I may even post my recipe.
cheers.

I put hot peppers in just about everything. Except breakfast foods. But other than that, pepper it up! :book:
I grow my own chilis. Put them in various dishes, on pizzas, in sauces. I also dry them and chop them up to sprinkle on food.
Safety tip of the day: When using a food processor to chop up dried habaneros, use it outside. :sweatdrop:
My kinda thread!
Pizzas get lots of black pepper on the sauce and lots and lots of crushed chilis on top of the cheese. Sometimes I'll put on marinated hot eggplant strips. Very tasty, nice and hot, and really, really stinky.
Eggs get tabasco and black pepper.
Anything remotely Asian or Indian gets the chili paste. I mix it with mayo for fries. Good on sandwiches too.
I use a West Indian habenero sauce on most other things, stews, burgers, sandwiches, on potatos, and mixed in with soup.
For chili, I like to use the chipotle peppers in the can with the adobe sauce. Great stuff!
I'm limited to using more sauces than fresh peppers now as I can sauce my own food but cannot cook with fresh peppers. The woman and kids cannot abide the heat.

I love peppers and chilies for the flavor and taste; I have no use for anything that is soooo hot it has no real application.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, chillies, red green jalapenos habaneros scotch bonnet, I like them all. They make boring food interesting, I put them in pizza's, stir frys, salsa even cheese on toast.
