If I could change 1 thing about the AI:

I would change the decision process for retreating before battle. Nothing makes the game more of a letdown than to build yourself a great army. Face off against the top contender on the map....and then have them run to their castle without a fight. Often they lose tremendous property and strength in the process. I've destroyed whole powerful nations much bigger than my own piece by piece that way. :dizzy2: The biggest threat in single player comes from rebellion and reappearing factions.

Of course I realize thats what I have to do to get a battle, but It does the ai controlled faction no good at all to just retreat like that. A human opponent would never just give up some much of its investments without a fight. I want the next version of mtw to behave more intelligently.

Just learn to limit yourself to a single stack. That’s all I use.

I would like to see better use of alliances. It would be great if your allies helped you out more, when in position. The same thing would go for factions attacking you. It might hurt more if you get attacked from two sides at once.
