Me and a friend are having an arguement. The shoes "Pumas" or "Converse"
For those who've never heard of these here are some pics:
Converse(ick!) (http://www.flava.no/produkter/sko/bilder/Convers.jpg)
Pumas (Yeah!) (http://images2.nordstrom.com/images/store/product/medium/107999.jpg)
EDIT:Mods please add a poll with the "Converse" option and "Puma" option.

Oh yeah? What you wear?:inquisitive: :laugh4:
Pumas for sure. I dont like converse.
For a father lemur and baby lemur, there is only one true footwear:

Both shamelessly advertise in movies (Puma in The Island and Converse in I, Robot) both are evil.

New Balance. Durable running shoes (what other kind of shoes are there?) actually made in the USA.

At the minute I'm wearing Adidas Climacool in shiney silver :2thumbsup: I also have Nike Air Max in Silver.
Out of the two the Nikes are the best but as they don't make the silver version anymore I was forced to with Adidas, incidentally, no-one else I know likes them :shame:
Back to the subject, out of the two I would have to say Pumas.

Between Converse and Pumas I'd take the Pumas.

Pumas. Converse are now for emo kids who cry in corners. Or for Lemurs, I'm sure they don't wear them like emo kids do.

I'm wearing a pair of these Vans atm.
My other favourites are Airwalks.
They are so oldschool, I can't even find a pic on the web.
Skate-Shoes all the way. Chucks rule ok too.
Gah! Shoes. Just like who wear them anyway? :gah:

I prefer Adidas, Kappa or Nike over both of them. Adidas Oregon or Stan Smith are just lush trainers and have stability and style which hit the nail on the head for me.

Why do so many people wear sport shoes when they are not sporting?

For comfort and style i think. I have abit of trainer fetish and i just can't help myself sometimes. I like the low tennis shoe type personally. I don't go out and blow 100+ on those air max type, they are not my thing at all

Not a big fan of either, really.
I wear some leather trainer type things made by a company called Merrell. They're very comfortable.

They're just shoes.
In fairness, the Chucks are just for around the house. At work I wear these:

Duh! Converse is punk rock!
CONVERSE ALL THE WAY!
Also, don't forget, Chucks are dirt cheap in the U.S., so they're a very economical way to get everybody's feet covered. Cheap and comfy, that's how lemurs like their shoes.

Vans! I've always worn Vans... most durable shoes I've ever had, My last pair of Vans finally wore out after 2 and a half years, (even with skateboarding) so I subsituted them with a pair of Converse I had stowed away, they're already showing signs of falling apart, after 4 months:no: Next pair of Tennis-Shoes I buy is going to be Vans.
As for my work shoes when I go to the office, The North Face is an excellent brand, really they're more like a Hiking Boot but they're the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn... but come with a decent price tag (about 150.00$)
Then my actual Outdoor Hiking Boots are a really nice pair of Danner Boots, very comfortable, and from what I hear very durable... also about 200.00$ a pair.
My Work Boots (and Four-Wheeling/Motorcycle Riding Boots), for those days when I need something to protect my feet from the elements, and I don't feel to bad about getting em' dirty is a pair of Steel-Toed Redwing Boots, also spendy, but for the ummm...4 years that I've had them, they aren't really showing signs of too much wear and tear (well a bit of wear actually)... but yet again price out around 250.00$.
I haven't needed a pair of Winter Boots in quite awhile... so I don't have any.
I haven't owned a pair of running shoes in years.
I own one pair Canadian Army issue winter boots. One pair of steel toe work boots. One pair of sandals.
Don't seem to need much else.
