v1.5 am i doomed? =o

Ok i have RTW gold edition which comes already v1.5 so here comes the problem... i want to play EB :wall: ive tried installing 1.2 over it, manually and auto neither seem to work. so if anyone out there knows how i can roll my v1.5 back to v1.2 i would love you :P and like i said a clean install of rtw with my discs is v1.5 soooo :help:

Doomed for the time being, yes. :grin: We are trying to port to 1.5, but it won't be a quick process. There's no way to roll it back to 1.2 either, that we know of. You'll just have to check back in here from time to time to see if we have finished the port.

Ok don't flame me, but I think someone over on the RTR forums managed to "reverse" their game back to 1.2 with help from some of the members there. I am not entirely sure about this though. You could go over there and ask about it, just don't tell them you want to do it for EB. :inquisitive:

You can download the ziped version of 1.2 patch and unpack into your directory and than install EB over it. Maybe that works, maybe not.

I don't think that instantly works with his version. He has the gold edition which is automatically 1.5. He will need to manually install the 1.2 patch, but there is some serious work that needs to be done to the files first. I personally have no idea how to do that, but there have been claims of it occurring. The latest one I recall is a fella that said some people on the RTR forums helped make his gold edition game 1.2 patch compatable, then he came over to these forums I think and got the EB mod. That was a while ago though.

I highly doubt there is going to be a RTR 6.0 Gold for RTW patch 1.5 either.

Yea now here is the werid thing..

I orgionally downloaded RTR6 gold, the patch 1.2 non zip version (automatic) i installed both on a clean version of RTW 1.5 and proceded to play no problem. after that i decided i wanted EB for obvious reasons :P anyway i cleared off rtw and tried agian to no luck, even did regedit and everything patch wont install agian either and yea have tried manually now when i tired that the game just crashes after i put on the 1.2 files manual.

Since you already bought RTW you could with no remorse download pirate copy of RTW 1.0 from the net. Next download 1.2 patch and you are set.
