Has anyone noticed that with siege towers you can shoot arrows out of the top, while your unit is marching the tower to the walls? Well, sometimes with no opposition I just stop my siege tower before I get to the walls and it empties its arrows on the enemy unit (usually destroying many units). Do any of you all try this?

I don't like to exploit the already retarded A.I. I usually massacre them anyway, to it might as well happen man to man, blades crossing.

Yes.I recall one of my campiagns when i was defending a barbarian settlement from a huge enemy army....well...i forced my army out of the settlement to face in the battlefield the enemy army....then i went back into the settlement walls....and now comes the funiest part:laugh4: ....the enemy army stopped at the gates and those small towers with archers kept killing them one by one....i leaved my desk....i watched tv....and when i return after one hour....the enemies they were still there!!! in the range of the towers archers....i killled that way many units (including their general too) and won the battle with the final push from my army within the walls....the AI is way too stupid:laugh4:
has anyone tried to use the towers when the enemy comes out of the city?
do they also shoot at units on the ground instead of on the wall?

If you order your towers to halt just before they dock alongside the walls, you should see them fire downwards at enemy units that are on the streets (not the walls). From this, I'd assume that if you're towers were in the right place, they should be able to hit units leaving the settlement gates.
