Can be funny at times, but at others they take themselves too seriously and bash Bush too much. Just remember-it's comedy, not news.

I just watch it for the fact that its funny. Most of the things I find out about the news is from here.:2thumbsup:

I watch the Colbert Report fairly faithfully... I don't watch as much of the Daily Show as I used too.

George Bush: Great President, or THE GREATEST President?

I'll just put you down for Great.

The Daily Show really sucks compared to Colbert, imho. Without Bush, Stewart wouldn'tve had material for the last 6 years and his interviews are so God awfully boring compared to Colbert's.

The other day he had some "140 year old" news reporter on and started giving him guff about his style:

"So what's the problem with you anyway? You never give any feeling when you report the news. You never get involved with the stories. What are you, some kind of sissy? I've never once seen you yelling at the screen like those awesome reporters do on some of the cable news networks. Geez. It's almost as if you're just giving us information."

Gold.

I love the daily show but don't find Colbert funny at all. Most of the jokes are based on his persona and it gets old quickly.

I watch the Daily Show, not everyday, but when I can I do. The Colbert Report is fun only a little while, but I usually watch it everytime I tune in to the Daily Show.

Its all about Bremner, Bird, and Fortune for us Brits. I do enjoy the Daily Show but the Bush bashing gets old for me rather quickly.

This is surprising. I'll watch the Daily Show if it happens to be on and will always find it funny, but I literally cannot tolerate the Colbert Report... and I thought that was the general consensus :dizzy2:

Nope, I too like the Daily Show but now LOVE the Colbert Report. I thought the CR was a bit shaky at first, but now I laugh way more at him than I do at Stewart.

My only complaint is that Colbert wasn't able to transfer 'This Week in God' to his show. Without Colbert, its just a shadow of its former self.

Now, its back to my leather baldrics and +1 Scimitars (gotta love Colbert's D&D references :)

I watch them both.. very funny. If and when Democrats ever hold office in the country again Im sure they will get burned too. If I remember right, the old daily show (with the cbs late late show guy) made fun of Clinton to no end.

I love them both! I watch them as often as possible, but on school nights I have to go to bed before they come on...

I watch them both. I prefer the Daily Show, the humor is more to my taste and the interviews are more relaxed, no agenda. The Colbert Report on the other hand is nice though for the word of the day which is usually funny and the guest do seem to enjoy themselves more so long as they aren't being attacked for their political opinions.
