LOL...
Unbelievable. When I read the title I thought, "rainbow sheep, what the hell?". I thought it was maybe the homosexuals running another recruiting campaign for new meat at the schools for their "life choice" or maybe to get some sheep for, well, anyway.
So is this PC going to far again or is it just to make sure we don't offend any black sheep out there minding his/her own business, chewing on some yummy grass? :laugh4:
:laugh4: ok....america has long gone nuts on the "PC" craze, and now it seems that the UK is following suit.....that story is an absolute joke.
to counter this age of rampant moronic political correctness I leave you guys with the image of a chocolate sweet that is sold here in portugal.

This 'rainbow sheep' thing is really over-the-top, and does completely forget what the poem is actually about.
What's next? "The black sheep of the family"? Will that comment be made politically incorrect despite it has to do with the trouble a siglne black sheep would cause a sheepfarmer when it came to collect the wool?
My dear... Black nights, blacks seas (wow consider the Black Sea in itself)... All out of the window. Now we are at it, let's just remove the word black... and yellow (yellowbelly could be considered an insult to asians by the PC police)...
By doing this, the PC police is in fact reinforcing the feeling that 'black' is an insult, thus MAKING it an insult to people who never even considered it as such. This way the word can never become simple everyday thing we use. It becomes something we fear... I doubt anyone would like that, especially not people who are considered black.

:dizzy2:
Political correctness gone mad :2thumbsup: :laugh4:
I'd have thunk it was from South Park, really, but it seems genuine.
political correctness gets so pointless :dizzy2:
at least it makes the rhyme more interesting though :inquisitive:
I double-dog dare any patron of the Org to defend the "Rainbow Sheep" song. Go ahead. I dare ya.
PC thinking is already well past its prime here in the U.S., but I guess it has pockets of resistance in the U.K.

Hey, it's great!
You get more variety, and the children get to improvise.
"Baa Baa Bouncing sheep", that's hilarious!:bounce: :bounce:
hmmm..
In Norwegian, this song goes: "Baa baaa little lamb...", such that we don`t have to worry about this.
:shame:

As has been pointed out, there was already a lengthy thread on this very same topic.
And yes, it is ridiculous.

I will.
The song goes black sheep, then white sheep, then rainbow sheep. It's just an extended variation on the traditional song. The whole thing is a total non-story - which is a real departure for 'Political Correctness Gone Mad' stories
