Help to combine two mods

iam trying to combine the units from ARs INVASIO BARBARIORUM - FLAGELLUM DEI v 5.02 with the map from BI WarMap II v0.6, but all i keep getting is ctd's. any help on how i may do this? :dizzy2: :wall:

Well if the one mod ONLY has units and the other ONLY has the map, all you should have to do is edit data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign (or barbarian_invasion if it is bi) /descr_strat.txt
What you have to do is change which units are assigned to all factions in the beginning.
You should check the tutorial section to see what you can do with that file.

Ok then it's a little more difficult.
Best is to start by learning how to add new units so you know what you need and add then copy the units to that other mod, at least in my opinion.

it works with an older version of bi warmap (BI-WarMap-beta_v0.6) but not with any other later versions

Remeber that if you want to release the mod, you must get permission from the creators of the mods you use...

this is only for personal use although if it works, i will probably ask the creators permissons for realese. havent got it to work yet though
