From what I have heard Playlogic were very busy cleaning up the mess that Akella had made so hopefully a less buggy European version :2thumbsup:

So it's sea dogs except with an actual crew on your ship, better graphics, and you can conquer and manage colonies?
Should be awesome then.
Sea dogs was pretty buggy when it first came out but they patched it up quite nicely. It was moddable as well.

Seadogs was a blast as was POTC, hopefully AOP will be the ultimate :2thumbsup:
AOP is supposed to be more modable than POTC
Hard to imagine, considering what the PotC community at piratesahoy.net did with PotC. But I´m the last to complain.

True, but I already found that out by looking into the game folder, it was thousands of files, most of the scripts are textfiles, I think there are very few if any things which are compressed or hardcoded.
I could mod what I started with, my look and other things quite easily.
I hope Playlogic did a good job on those bugs, I´m just curious about the release, it´s not mentioned on Amazon.de yet, maybe I should ask in a shop.
Are you talking about PotC or AoP?
PotC is - if you know your code - very easy to mod, due to the fact that apart from the graphics (which aren´t encoded, either) almost everything, even the mast and sail configuration of the ships, is in .c and .h files, which can be opened with Notepad.
First part is a reply to the quote and talking about PotC as you guessed, second part is on topic, which means AoP.
I´m just curious why AoP is not listed on Amazon, usually they have games listed at least a month before release or so.

PR has been non-existent by Playlogic, apart from a few previews there is not much else. Part of the problem is the lack of communication communication Akella and Playlogic, from what is being said Akella are withholding the Gold Version, so Playlogic can only publish the Master 4, which means when you upgrade the game from 1.2 to 1.3 the saves will not work.
Because of this problem Playlogic did not sort out their distibution timetable and are only now getting set for a European distribution which they will announce early next week. My guess is that AOP:CT will be out Friday 7th April.

From Akella? No, never really have been. They produce a game and then sod off. Playlogic is another matter, I haven't heard of them before this so we will have to wait and see. They are at least pulling their weight to get the game more playable than the Russian version.

So...
Does anyone have any idea whatsoever when this game 'll be released ?
Because I don't see this happening in the near future :

:balloon2:
I´m not seeing this game released in the near future and Templar is an optimist.
To me it looks more like Akella and Playlogic don´t really have a plan about how to release the game.
@Templar: You owe me a copy of the game on release.~;) :laugh4:
