I can play bass pretty well and I used to play trumpet but I sucked. I want to learn to play guitar but I have to save my money up to buy one first. Just figured I'de throw this out there cause I'm really into music and I'm bored so there we go.:2thumbsup:

No, I don't. But, if I would start playing something, it would be electric or bass guitar. If I decide to buy one, which would you recommend?

Used to play the French Horn, and before that the cornet, but I've been out of practice for years. Lately I've just been singing.

I'm trying to prove my Cort that I'm worth that relationship.

(Gah, she really makes "noise" for now though. I think we'll get on well with each other better by time..)

Divinus Arma

Guitar is more fun because most recognizable songs are made recognizable by the guitar contributions rather than any other instrument. There are some exceptions, Primus being the lead example.

Yeah, I love the guitar but I was about to buy this one -a darbuka- just before I changed my mind. (Yeah I changed my mind indeed ~D) I'm a rhythm freak actually and this is the best percussion sound on the planet.

Mate, I'm talking about the instrument where you force your face muscles to stretch in order to reach some notes while keeping up with the beat -not something your homemates hate to hear. :2thumbsup:

I get you mate, in my school there are probably only two or three people that can sing well. And thats because they have practised and practised, so they know the limitations of their voice, their style etc. Alot of people say they can sing just so they can be on stage in front of everyone else, when really they cant sing for **** :laugh4: Thats why i chose drums, so i can sit at the back :2thumbsup:

In the band im in, we have an awesome singer, so we're pretty much set.

Gah! a full set of drums have got more rythym than a darbuka, it just takes a rather long amount of practice to get good on them :2thumbsup:

Of course, mate. But you would gather all your red-eyed, furious neighbors to your flat in no more than 5 min's after you'd start playing in the apartment where you live. :sweatdrop:

Yes, keyboards: piano, organ, synthesizers, samplers, etc.

I enjoy mimicking other instruments (especially guitars and solo wind instruments) on synths, using technique (!), programming and layering, and controllers (wheels and joysticks, switch and swivel pedals, touch pads, the keyboard's velocity and pressure sensitivity, etc.), to bend pitch, vary modulation depth and rate, vary amplitude, frequency, or filter parameters, and crossfade between different patches etc., etc. It's interesting what you can do, and how good it can sound--but it's never as good as the real thing. Quite fun though.
