:help:

I installed the Europa Barbarorum mod two weeks ago, and I was very satisfied with it. Before, I thought Rome: Total Realism was the best mod for RTW. Now, I think it's EB. Anyways, I played the mod for some time and it worked perfectly until today. I decided to ...Tweak EB even further, in my own vision. I installed the Realistic tree size mod (that should work with every RTW 1.2) and I edited the roman_standard with another one, a Roman eagle. Then I tweaked some things in my preferences.txt and started EB as usual from the desktop icon. (Oh, and I installed the Marcus Camillus Formations Mod.) It worked well, until I loaded my savegame and ..:inquisitive: All the unit icons on the campaign map were that gray peasant picture, and all the custom building icons all looked like that barracks icon (like the one for the homeland resource).
I have no idea what provoked this, because the game is running as usual, only this has changed...Can anyone please say what have I done wrong? Or how can I find and solve the problem?!

EDIT : I reinstalled EB and the problem is fixed. I think Marcus Camillus' mod somehow screwed my EB. But I do want those player formations. (Very useful and very well made.) Only problem is, Marcus Camillus's Mod is an installation setup, not .zip file, so I can't extract the desired files without screwing my game up. Anyone know where can I possibly find player formations compatible with EB that include Republican and Imperial Legion formations?

Don't use other mods with EB.

Is that an advice or an order? :laugh4:
EB isn't perfect. Nothing is. I just want my personal EB to be better in the way I see things. So is there such a mod?

If you can figure out how to mix mods with EB, more power to you; but, in eneral, other mods just aren't compatible. Too much is changed with EB to make it possible. It's kinda like drinking booze and shooting smack- never don't combine the two.

...Well, okay, you really shouldn't do either anyway, but my point still stands.

I used the latest Darth Formations mod for 1.2... worked great for me.

I think MC created his formation mod from Darth's original, so it may be what you are looking for.

Hope this helped.

Thanks Mega, but I figured that out before I saw your post. I also noticed that if you're REALLY careful you CAN build in other mods into EB. It's just a matter of time and knowledge. :sweatdrop: I think I can get to my game now...

P.S. Only one more question, all. How do I create a new unit in EB (or RTW, is there any difference anyway?). Cause I added a new unit, (First Cohort to be exact) copying all the info about an imperial cohort from export_descr_unit.txt to the end of the same file, only adding command to it's attributes. I changed the "type" thing and did the same with the "dictionary" line so now it looks like this :

;282
type roman legionary cohort ii first
dictionary roman_legionary_cohort_ii_first ; Cohortes Imperatoria Prima

(Is the Prima thing right anyway?)
Then I added the unit in descr_model_battle.txt, copying the imp. cohort info the same way I did in export_descr_unit. I changed the first two lines (first one should be comment...Right?) :
; Roman infantry - Cohors Imperatoria Prima

type roman_infantry_cohorsimperatoria_first

And the soldier thing in export_descr_unit was changed to this thing the type above. Now what?

Sorry for the noob questions, they should probably be in another topic but I don't want to waste precisious space on my account.

P.P.S. Oh, and I added the unit in the roman barracks right next to the imperial cohort. I again copied the info and changed names and stuff...What next?

Really sorry for the spam guys, but can you help a half-n00b here?
:help:
I can try asking somewhere else, just say if you don't want to waste your time and words.
