What barbarian faction is the best in your opinion? (Not just the best units)

All of the barbarian factions have their individual strengths and weaknesses; you just have to maximise each faction's strengths and minimise their weaknesses ~D

I haven't played vanilla for a long while, but my favourite vanilla barbarian faction had to be the Germans. This was simply because once you accessed the highest recruitment levels (EG hall of heroes, various shrines, bardic circle etc), their depth of heavy infantry specialists, backed up by powerful gothic cavalry and good missile support made steamrollering nearby AI factions a simple task. Some of the Germanic infantry made use of the armour piercing attributes, which can make all the difference against opposition infantry, even heavily armoured opponents such as the Romans for example.

Id go for the Germans. I dont really like any of the barbarian factions on RTW, they only get interesting on BI.

Germans. Although the Spanish look promising, too, with their great variety.

And, by the way, Thrace isn´t a barbarian faction, it´s Greek.

Briton, with an appropriate strat, can take any faction in RTW or almost imo.

I say Dacia is the best for some good reasons:

1.FALXMEN are COOL
2.Are the only barbarian faction that can build balistae and onagers!

Thrace is a mixture between greek and barbarian as it can make falxmen and hoplites. But for me it's germany because I like the sound the bersekers make when you click them. The "ya ha"
