Title says it all. A good film about the English Civil War (honestly :laugh4: )
Some nice examples of the 'pike push' in the battle sequences. :2thumbsup:
EDIT: oopps; should have said UK area reception only.

This was on only a few months ago, I think; possibly late last year...
It is an excellent film, nevertheless...

Of course you were DM! That is just so you.
Standing on the battlements in full Scottish regalia, brandishing your mighty claymore (ooh-err missus) and letting rip a full-throated, blood-curdling battle-cry (in a genteel Edinburgh accent no doubt ~:) )

Oh yes, the museum of the battalion formerly known as the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders had plenty of kilts, swords and fluffy hats. It was awfy windy, the tourists below might have got a shock...
Although I never have quite managed that Edinburgh accent... I decided to stick to my native middle-class Dundonian...
You mean the movie from 1970 with Richard Harris as Cromwell and Sir Alec Guinness as Charles I? I've seen that before. Don't remember the battle scenes though. :shame:
