I stumbled across this by accident, really. Ever since I reinstalled the game I had been playing with small unit sizes. For a while I wanted to at least up the size to normal. I inserted my RTW disc and upped the size. I loaded my Brutii campaign to see how the size changed. I was looking at my Rhodes settlement when out popped the little boat following its trade route. Then came another and another! The carts showed up as well! I then exited at changed the unit size back to small. They disappeared again. Set it back to normal and they reappear. This worked for BI as well, because I had initially set the unit size to small for that game as well. I wonder why that had any effect? I also noticed that the normal unit size has the same amount of troops in each unit as the small setting does. Why have the two if they are the same. The map seems so different now that they are appearing again.:laugh4:

Odd really, the only thing I can think of is that Small unit sizes could there to kept down processor work, or to save on memory or some such.

Perhaps a way of saying that when the world was small, miniature boats and carts didn't exist, but then, over night, when a bright young general called Upgradius Grafixcardium realised that not only could you have 80 men in a unit, but you could make small ships out of paper and let them roam the seas at will, life appeared over the seas once again.

:laugh4: Yes, Upgradius is a wise fellow. That's how he got to where he his. However, I never got to meet Upgradius with my current rig, yet. The video card I have is more than adequate at running RTW (Abit Radeon RX700-Pro). I really just had small unit sizes to make it easier to manage. I was finding it kind of hard to manage big armies with large unit sizes.:dizzy2:
