Help with error message

I altered the map heights, regions and ground types.

when i start up, it returns me to the menu.

show err = "you have chosen an invalid location (0, 0) for the settlement of " then blank.

line 8267, this is one line after the diplomacy end and points to nothing. the goto line facility isnt going to be accurate, but i would have thought it would point to a line that was before where the error occurred, not after.

anybody seen a similar error? why is the province name blank?

check to see if the settlement is on the wrong type of ground type...
ie settlements cant be in mountains I think...

Did see this as well (unfortunately had so many various bugs, can't remember exactly which one this was). Think it might be that it has managed to place all settlements that are needed for regions, but is finding spare white or black pixels on the regions.tga

When we were getting these sort of messages did also find that it sometimes moaned about 'settlements' when problem was actually a port!
Watch out for port pixels that have been landlocked by only having one corner rather than one side joining the sea.

Sounds like you have a black pixel at 0, 0 to me.
