Anyways this is good news overall. I'm sure someone will replace him though.

is it just me, or have any other Brits noticed the remarkable resemblance between Mr Corleone and Jeffery Archer?

I resent that. I might be getting to be a bit long in the tooth, but neither of those pictures looks remotely like me...

Okay, I admit it... shamless ploy to post yet another picture of my beautiful little one, and maybe get hog in on her limelight a little....

The baby is very, very cute. But the guy holding him is kinda scary. I'm all for work-release programs, but this guy looks like he shouldn't be in the nannying business. Don C, check references immediately. Remember, the ankle bracelet doesn't guarantee good behavior.

Did you know that somebody actually asked my wife who the real father was?!?! I don't think they were completely joking! Just because it's true, and I was thinking the same thing.... And the baby is a her, Lemur... your kneecaps will survive intact, just this once.... don't let it happen again...

By the way, one thing I don't get about the guy this thread really is about... if he's been hidden in seclusion for over 40 years, and has issued all his orders through capos and the like, how in the name of Hades did the local Palermo authorities even know who the heck he was? There was some mention made on NPR about DNA from blood taken during a procedure in France, but DNA matches identify from one location/sample to another. It tells you nothing in a single sample. All it proves is that the guy they have in custody right now DID undergo a procedure in France, no? Wouldn't they need some DNA evidence from a crime scene he was involved in to actually use that to link him to anything? Didn't they just say he hasn't been active in over 40 years?

Police say he was arrested at a farmhouse near Corleone, where he was born and where his wife and children live.

Sheer Genius, they decided after 40 years to stake out where he lived with his wife and child. :dizzy2:

Evil Truth, someone was three months in arrear with his bribe payments to the police.

How is Italy a part of the EU with that level of corruption (add to it the media/political system)?

Or does this show just how inept the EU is in actually getting countries to modernise?
