I was just playing in my RTW Julii campaign, and I don't even know what happened. One minute the senate was giving me missions, the next they and the other Romans were all neutral, w/trade rights. I think it might've been caused by my moving two full stacks down the italian peninsula, one to hang out near Tarentum, the other outside rome, as a preperation for the inevitable civil war. But the really strange thing is that they are still giving me missions! I just got a message demanding I withdraw from Latium and Brutium. Any thoughts on this strange ocourence? and no there were no suicide missions, and I was not overly popular with the people.

Not too sure, but I don't think the Senate likes it when you camp an army in its territory. That's why I made sure to keep my Italian Invasion stacks on the north side of the Tiber River during the Julii campaign. I had no problems, and was able to start the civil war when I was ready.

Which version do you play with, Glaucus? Talk here has it that the diplomatic behaviour for the Roman factions is a bit weird in 1.5.
And how far advanced are you in your game? That might offer an explanation as well, you might very well be on the brink of civil war if you´ve got a lot of provinces already.

1.6 I downloaded for BI + 1.3 for RTW before I started this campaign, so that should cover the patches. I think its about 230 BC, but I have been a bit of a dick. I refuse to attack the greeks since i have trade rights, and have disobeyed the senate a plethera of times. Also, in the early game I took caralis, as is custom, then I decided to attack lilybaem for the heck of it. I then took Syracuse, Thapsus, Carthage, and Cirta in the following decade. This leaves the Scpii with currently only the two provences they started with, and about 4 stacks of infnatry sitting in campania. I have put my campaign on hold, so if anyone has any advice/thoughts, please don't hesitate.
