A new Clan War Belt website has been completed.
http://www.clanwarbelt.org
Other than being a dynamic site about Totalwar in general, it also has a tournament software which will be used to host the famous clan competition ClanWarBelt. Also custom tourneys will be created such as 1v1 ladder, 2v2 knock out competition, leagues etc... and some respected individuals in the community will be allowed to host their own tourneys using the integrated tournament software which you can view by clicking the competitions link in the menu.

Very nice job, looks great.

Edit: I looked around, bit of a long shot but in Links > TW Clans any chance you could add Leo Honorius? I know we don't compete in CWB, but then again you have clans like spid up who arn't very active (understatement) anymore. Probably the only reason we don't compete is we're quite a small (terms of numbers) clan and we're already in CWC and TWPL, another tourney is a bit too much ;)

Shame, because with that website looks like CWB will go from strength to strength :)

I announced it in the RTW Heaven news. The site looks promising! :)

Thanks for your nice words Monarch.
Sure, I can add your clan in the links, however I do not know the adress of your clan website. As you see on the left, there is a contact menu and you can use the "submit a link" to add your clan in the clan links.

Hello Kanuni,

Just wondering when the new cwb season starts?

Is it run by you Kan?
Yes, after stabilizing the tournament with solid rules supported by the new ladder software and after recruiting 3-4 admins from various clans, I'll step aside and hand it over to a neutral member in the community. (Administrating the tournament, the website, forums etc... Everything... I guess that it won't happen before 3-4 months though.)

Hello Kanuni,

I'm planning May 1st for the start. Very soon, the new rules will be announced and registration will be opened.

I'm currently making some tests with the ladder software (which can be seen here: http://competitions.clanwarbelt.org/index.php?name=Competition&op=compView&event=1 )to make it compatible with the new CWB rules, but it won't take too long. ~;)

That's why you haven't been in the lobbies much lately, then.. Hmm.. How long does a season take? If I may ask.

I was actually doing my mandatory military service, living a completely different life.~D That was why I wasn't arround.

We are planning that a season should take 3-4 months. Clans will have to play series every 2 weeks. They don't have to challenge a clan now as automated fixtures will be created for every 2 weeks... The clans that do challenge and take the time to arrange their series will play their series though and have a chance to play with the clan THEY want. Since this is kind of a ladder, the clans that do challenge, can challenge up to 2 clans in this 2 week period time to earn more points and climb higher in the ladder. So basically every clan that participates will need to play at least 6-8 series in one season but the clans with more motivation will play more games and therefore have a chance to earn more points. Inactive clans will be frozen very quickly...

Of course the series won't take as long as before now. The games will be only one 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 (each attack and defend games of course) and there won't be any time wasted with the assigning factions etc... Each season will consist of phases which last 2 weeks and in each phase, there will be dates to negotiate for the clans and default game dates (in case they can't agree on a date)

Eh, that made for an exciting experience I think. Have you showed them some of your strategic plans? And how should a tank army operate? (Just like Armenian Catas.. :D )

The system of the ladder sounds fair enough. Maybe I'll get Sith in in the next season. Good luck with this one, though!

Eheheh no. In fact I started as a private infantry and it was very intense in physical activity + using rifles. Promoting to seargant didn't help too much either as I lost about 20 kg! :laugh4:

Sure, you are welcome. We are currently working on finalizing the news and recruiting a few more members to the CWB Administration so that the online clans are represented relatively better. Soon, we will announce the new rules and open registration for the new season.

This is just a quick post to notify you that the new season has begun in CWB. The new rules can be viewed here (http://forums.clanwarbelt.org/viewtopic.php?t=1001).
In order to compete in the new season, you need your clan to sign up in the registration thread created for it in here (http://forums.clanwarbelt.org/viewtopic.php?t=1003).
Best regards

Can we (Sith) join in now?

Copy and paste from the rules: The registration is free for any clan during any time in the season. The season has started now, so yes you can register.
